Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
The short version. Surf Animals has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. If you post a score to the world leaderboard, we store that score along with the initials and pet name you typed, plus a random ID the game made up. You can delete all of it from the game at any time: Options → Delete my scores. We don't sell or share your data.
Who we are
Wicked Kitty Games is an independent game studio. This policy covers our game Surf Animals and this website, wickedkittygames.com. Questions or requests: hello@wickedkittygames.com.
What Surf Animals collects
Nothing leaves your device unless you post a score to the world leaderboard. When you do, the game sends:
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| What you typed | The 3 initials you pick, and your custom pet's name (up to 8 letters) and look, if you ride one. |
| Your run | Score or wipeout value, run length, season, game mode, the rider you chose, the game's build number, and the time. |
| A random install ID | The game makes up a random ID the first time it runs and uses it to sign your scores, so nobody else can post or delete them as you. It isn't your device ID or advertising ID and isn't linked to any account. We also keep when the ID was created and whether it has been banned for abuse. |
We don't collect: your name, email, account, location, contacts, photos, advertising ID or device identifiers. The game uses no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
What's public
The world leaderboard shows your initials, score, rider and pet (including its name) to everyone. Don't type anything into those fields that you wouldn't want others to see. Names are checked against a blocked-words list, both in the game and on our server, and we remove anything inappropriate.
How we use it
Only to run the leaderboard: showing scores, stopping cheating and spam, and moderating names. We don't use it for advertising, we don't build profiles, and we don't sell or share it.
IP addresses and logs
Like any internet service, our server sees your IP address when the game connects. We use it only in memory, for a few minutes, to stop spam, and we never store it. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps routine technical logs under its own privacy policy.
Where it's stored and who processes it
Leaderboard data is stored with Cloudflare, our service provider, in North America, and is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Cloudflare processes it on our behalf and doesn't use it for its own purposes. No one else receives it.
How long we keep it
- Scores stay on the leaderboard until you delete them. When a new season starts, older seasons' boards may be archived offline.
- Scores hidden by moderation are deleted 90 days after they were hidden.
- An install ID with no scores that hasn't posted for 12 months is deleted.
Deleting your data
In the game, open Options → Delete my scores. That erases every score posted from your install right away. If you no longer have the game, email hello@wickedkittygames.com with your initials, roughly when you posted, and roughly what you scored. Since there are no accounts, that's how we find your scores. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your data, such as access or correction. Email us and we'll help.
Saves on your device
Your progress, unlocked gear and settings are saved on your phone. On Android, if you have device backup turned on, Android may back up the game's save (including the key that signs your scores) to your own Google account. That backup is between you and Google; we never receive it.
Children
Surf Animals is made for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has put personal information on the leaderboard, for example a real name, email hello@wickedkittygames.com and we'll delete it.
This website
wickedkittygames.com uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from third parties. Cloudflare hosts the site and, like any web host, processes your requests and keeps routine technical logs. The Discord link takes you to Discord, which has its own privacy policy.
Changes
If what the game collects changes, for example if we ever add ads, we'll update this policy before that version of the game is released, and change the date at the top.
